NORTH EAST — A portion of Williams Road (Route 1013) in North East Township is temporarily closed to through traffic while Norfolk Southern Railway Company performs maintenance at a railroad crossing.
The closure affects Williams Road between Route 20 and Side Hill Road (Route 1008). Work began Monday, Sept. 28, and is expected to be completed by Friday, Oct. 2.
A posted detour directs motorists along Side Hill Road, Moorheadville Road (Route 1006) and Route 20.
PennDOT advises drivers to use caution near the work area, reduce their speed, watch for changing traffic conditions and follow posted signs and directions from flaggers.
