Robert L. Bloom, 40, was charged Monday with rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, corruption of minors, indecent assault and indecent exposure, according to court records.

Bloom was arraigned Tuesday and jailed after bail was set at $100,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 19.

Court records show Bloom was previously sentenced in 2019 to 19 months to five years in state prison after pleading guilty to indecent exposure. At the time, the court imposed an aggravated sentence that included sex offender counseling, a mental health evaluation and restrictions on unsupervised contact with minors following his release.

The current charges remain allegations, and Bloom is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
