The Union City Bears baseball team was back on the field on Monday afternoon as they traveled to Allegheny College to take on the Saegertown Panthers in the District 10 2A Playoffs.
The Panthers would strike early in the bottom of the first to take a 5-0 lead. The Bears would add their first and only run in the top of the second to make the score 5-1.
The Panthers would then score eleven unanswered to win the game as they would take down the Bears 16-1 in three innings.
The win improves the Panthers to 17-1 on the season while the Bears fall to 10-7 ending their season.
