Erie State Police Report Four DUI Arrests During Holiday Enforcement

ERIE — Pennsylvania State Police in Erie arrested four motorists for driving under the influence during a holiday enforcement detail conducted over the Independence Day weekend.

According to state police, troopers carried out a roving DUI saturation patrol throughout Erie County between July 3 and July 4 as part of increased holiday traffic enforcement.

During the operation, troopers made contact with 36 motorists. In addition to the four DUI arrests, police issued 31 traffic citations and 29 written warnings.

State police routinely conduct holiday enforcement details to deter impaired driving and improve roadway safety during periods of increased travel.
