An upcoming event in Waterford will give residents a chance to explore local history while searching for artifacts along French Creek.
State Rep. Jake Banta is partnering with the Fort LeBoeuf Historical Society to host an Arrowhead Hunt on Saturday, May 2, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Fort LeBoeuf Museum.
The event will start with a tour of the museum and a look at the history of the area, followed by an organized search for arrowheads on the grounds near French Creek.
Organizers say the event will be held rain or shine, and those attending are encouraged to dress for weather conditions. Coffee and donuts will be available.
The Fort LeBoeuf Museum is located on South High Street in Waterford. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP in advance by calling 814-796-7375 or registering online.
