Daylight saving time begins Sunday, March 8, at 2 a.m. Residents should remember to turn their clocks ahead one hour before going to bed Saturday night.
Officials also say the time change is a good reminder to check safety devices around the home. Be sure to test smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms and replace the batteries if needed. It’s also recommended that both types of alarms be replaced every 10 years to ensure they are working properly.
