Two Corry Retail Theft Cases Reported

CORRY — Corry police have reported two separate retail theft cases at the Walmart on East Columbus Avenue.

On Sept. 25, police responded to Walmart after loss prevention personnel reported a man had been apprehended. Officers identified the man as 24-year-old Nathan Sigrist of Corry.

Police said Sigrist had pushed out $192.92 worth of merchandise. He was taken to the Corry Police Department, processed and released. Sigrist will answer to the retail theft charge at a later date before District Magistrate Denise Buell.

On Sept. 30, police were contacted by Walmart loss prevention regarding a female who had been detained. Officers identified the woman as 47-year-old Shawna Hedderick of Union City.

Police said Hedderick had selected $175.44 worth of merchandise and attempted to leave the store without paying. She was transported to the Corry Police Department, processed and released.

Hedderick will answer to the retail theft charge at a later date before District Magistrate Buell.
