BIG SPRINGS – The Union City boys cross country team placed ninth at the PIAA Foundation Meet Saturday at Big Springs High School, finishing with 249 points.
Josh Mitcham led the Bears, placing 12th overall in 17:01.7. Zachary Myer finished 35th overall in 18:09.0 followed by Luke Himrod in 48th at 18:33.9. Josiah Shrout placed 84th in 19:36.9 while Gavin Ahl finished 129th in 21:14.1. Brayden Weilacher finished 145th in 22:39.3, and Saul Murphy was 155th in 23:52.7.
The Union City girls also competed, with Taylor Leonard finishing 135th in 26:40.0, Olivia Shrout 136th in 26:41.9, Allie Anderson 163rd in 30:05.0 and Kylie Kerr 165th in 30:29.1.
