OIL CREEK TOWNSHIP — A Centerville man was killed early Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Mystic Park Road in Oil Creek Township, Crawford County.
Pennsylvania State Police said the crash occurred around 12:20 a.m. Sept. 16 on Mystic Park Road, north of Kinsack Road.
The driver, identified as James Patrick Morris, 49, of Centerville, was traveling north when his vehicle failed to negotiate a left curve and left the east side of the roadway.
Police said the vehicle struck a large boulder head-on before continuing north and striking a large tree in a residential yard. The vehicle then overturned, became airborne and landed in a swamp, where it became submerged.
Morris was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police.
