Union City Girls Golf Fourth at Region 4 Mega Match

UNION CITY – The Union City girls golf team finished fourth at Thursday’s Region 4 AA Girls Mega Match at Scenic Heights, hosted by Seneca.

Union City finished with a team score of 332, trailing Fort LeBoeuf at 252, Seneca at 316 and Conneaut at 324. Franklin finished fifth at 361, followed by Rocky Grove at 420.

Senior Emma Frank led the Bears with a 104. Freshman Brooke Erickson followed with a 107, her season-best score in a mega match. Senior Allie Anderson contributed a 121, while junior Kyleigh McGuire posted a season-best 126. Freshman Maci Greely finished with a 128.

Fort LeBoeuf’s Cassidy Conn was the individual medalist with a 71, while Seneca’s Kylie Bednar finished second with a 77.

With Thursday’s results, Fort LeBoeuf remains first in the Region 4 standings with 30 points after five of six matches. Seneca is second with 24 points, while Union City is third with 19 points. Conneaut is fourth with 16, followed by Franklin with 11 and Rocky Grove with five.
