Several Erie County communities will receive funding for infrastructure, equipment and public safety projects through Pennsylvania’s Local Share Account program.
Among the awards are more than $282,000 for Waterford Township to replace a 2026 John Deere 624 loader. Leboeuf Township will receive $391,466 to purchase a new road grader for roadway maintenance.
North East Township was awarded $110,028 for improvements to its water system’s fire protection capabilities.
The three projects are part of 18 awards totaling $5,109,357 across Erie County. Other funding will support municipal equipment and building improvements, fire and emergency services, water and sewer projects, public works equipment and pedestrian improvements in communities throughout the county.
The Local Share Account program distributes gaming revenue to local governments and organizations for infrastructure, equipment and community improvement projects.
The funding was announced by state Sen. Dan Laughlin, R-49th District.
