
UNION CITY — Union City Police turned a passenger over to U.S. Border Patrol following a traffic stop on Titusville Road near Dollar General on Aug. 16.
According to a Union City Police news release, officers stopped a vehicle for traffic-related offenses. During the stop, officers determined that the passenger, identified as 42-year-old Celedonio Hernandez Manzado, was in the United States unlawfully and had been for approximately eight years.
Police contacted Border Patrol, which took Manzado into custody. The release does not provide additional information about the circumstances of his immigration status or where he was taken.
