ERIE — The Erie County Department of Health has closed the KFC restaurant on Buffalo Road following an inspection that found multiple recurring violations.
According to an Aug. 13 statement from the county, the health department received a complaint about the restaurant Wednesday afternoon. An inspection resulted in multiple violations being identified and documented.
The department said the restaurant will not be permitted to reopen until significant progress has been made addressing cleanliness concerns and several equipment-related issues.
The KFC location on Parade Street also remains closed while substantial repairs are made to meet operational and safety standards, according to the county.
The Erie County Department of Health said it continues to work with corporate and regional KFC management on compliance issues at the affected locations.
