Four Charged Following Titusville Altercation

TITUSVILLE — Four people have been charged following a large altercation Sunday morning in Titusville that involved approximately 20 people.

Titusville Police responded around 12:19 a.m. Aug. 9 to an establishment in the 100 block of Diamond Street after receiving a report of the altercation. Officers found multiple people injured when they arrived. Witnesses reported that four men involved had left before police arrived. The Titusville Fire Department and EmergyCare responded to evaluate and treat those who were injured.

Officers later located two of the men in a nearby parking lot. Kevin E. Zeledon, 26, of Miami, Florida, and Diego A. Bermudez, 36, of Deerfield Beach, Florida, complied with police and were taken into custody before being transported to the Crawford County Jail.

As the investigation continued, Titusville Police worked with Pennsylvania State Police in Corry to review surveillance footage and other video evidence. Police identified Justin L. Bell, 44, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, who surrendered to authorities Aug. 10 and was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Ben Leach.

Police said the fourth individual has not yet been identified.

All four have been charged with four counts of simple assault, one count of disorderly conduct, one count of harassment involving physical contact and one count of public drunkenness and similar misconduct.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Those charged are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
