The crash occurred at about 8:15 p.m. on Route 19 North at the entrance to Sparrow Pond Campground, 11103 Route 19.

State police said a 2012 Nissan Rogue driven by 27-year-old Heather L. Crawford of Johnsonburg was traveling south on Route 19 and activated its left turn signal before attempting to turn into the campground. At the same time, a 2018 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special operated by 29-year-old Dylan J. Kramer of North East was traveling south in the northbound lane while attempting to pass two or three vehicles. The motorcycle struck the SUV as it turned left.

Kramer and his 24-year-old passenger, Aalihya M. Bowersox of Erie, were ejected from the motorcycle and came to rest in a grassy area east of the roadway. Both suffered suspected serious injuries and were transported to UPMC Hamot. Kramer was taken by Perry Hi-Way Hose Company, while Bowersox was transported by EmergyCare.

Police said off-duty members of the Edinboro Fire Department and an off-duty detective with the Zelienople Police Department assisted with medical care before emergency crews arrived.

Crawford suffered a possible injury and was transported to UPMC Hamot by McKean Hose Company. Two passengers in the SUV, 31-year-old Jeremiah C. Kephart of Kane and a 16-year-old female from St. Marys, also suffered possible injuries and were taken to UPMC Hamot. Another passenger, 36-year-old Timothy A. Cooley Jr. of Johnsonburg, and an 8-year-old boy from Johnsonburg were not injured.

State police said both vehicles were towed from the scene. No charges were listed in the public information release, and the crash remains under investigation.
