MAYVILLE, N.Y. — A Corry man was taken into custody Saturday after Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies discovered he was wanted in Pennsylvania.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department, deputies encountered a suspicious situation at about 1:26 p.m. on Button Valley Road in the Town of Harmony.
Following an investigation, deputies determined that 30-year-old Stephen Foster of Corry had outstanding warrants from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Foster was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail and charged with being a fugitive from justice. He was held pending an extradition hearing to return him to Pennsylvania.
