According to the Titusville Police Department, officers were dispatched Sunday, March 17, to Smokers Palace in the 100 block of South Martin Street for a reported armed robbery.

Police said surveillance footage showed a man arriving at the business in a blue Kia hatchback while wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a mask covering his face. Investigators allege the suspect entered the store while partially concealing a rifle under his sweatshirt.

During the incident, police said the suspect pointed the rifle at employees and demanded Kratom products from the shelves before leaving with approximately $8,000 worth of merchandise.

Through witness statements and other investigative efforts, officers identified the suspect as David Donor, 47, of Titusville.

Police obtained an arrest warrant through District Judge Amy Nicols Leach’s office. Authorities said Donor turned himself in at the Titusville Police Department on Monday, March 18.

During the investigation, officers recovered the stolen merchandise, along with the rifle believed to have been used in the robbery, a backpack, and the mask allegedly worn during the incident.

Donor was charged with robbery, retail theft, receiving stolen property, possessing instruments of crime, and simple assault. He was transported to the Crawford County Jail for arraignment, where bail was set at $100,000.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
