According to unofficial results, DiVittorio received 3,709 votes on the Democratic ballot while Banta received 3,823 votes on the Republican ballot. Both candidates were unopposed in their respective primaries.

Speaking with UC Today on Election Day, DiVittorio thanked residents for participating in the election and said she hopes voters support candidates they feel will best represent the district. She said housing remains one of the biggest issues facing the region, along with education and workforce development.

“I think right now the housing crisis is a really huge deal,” DiVittorio said. “I think that’s probably one of the biggest things I’m focusing on in addition to education and workforce.”

Most races across the region featured unopposed candidates, with the only statewide primary contest on many local Republican ballots being the race for lieutenant governor. Jason Richey defeated John Ventre for the Republican nomination, while Democratic incumbent Austin Davis advanced unopposed.

For governor, Democratic incumbent Josh Shapiro and Republican Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity both advanced to the November ballot without opposition.

In congressional races, Republican incumbent Glenn Thompson and Democrat Ray Bilger advanced in the 15th Congressional District, which includes Warren County and portions of Crawford County.

In the 16th Congressional District, Republican incumbent Mike Kelly and Democrat Justin Wagner secured their nominations and will compete in November. The district includes Erie County and parts of Crawford County.

In the Pennsylvania House 65th District, Republican incumbent Kathy Rapp advanced unopposed. Crawford County Republicans in the 50th Senatorial District also saw incumbent Michele Brooks advance without opposition.

Pennsylvania voters will return to the polls for the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
