Lady Bears Fall to Panthers to End Season

The Union City Lady Bears softball team was back in action on Monday evening as they traveled to Slippery Rock University to take on the Saegertown Lady Panthers in the District 10 2A Playoffs.

After two scoreless innings the Lady Panthers would open up the scoring in the bottom of the third scoring two runs to take a 2-0 lead.

The Lady Bears would remain down by two going into the sixth as the Panthers would score three runs on four hits to take a 5-0 lead.

The Lady Panthers would go on to win the game 5-0 as they improve to 16-3 on the season and move on to the Semifinals. The Lady Bears season comes to a close as they fall to 10-8.
