Lady Bears Fall to Bobcats

The Union City Lady Bears softball team was back in action on Tuesday afternoon as they traveled to Seneca to take on the Lady Bobcats in a region game.

The Lady Bobcats would get out to an early lead scoring three runs in the first inning to go up 3-0.

The Lady Bears would put a run on the board in the top half of the second before the Bobcats scored four more in the bottom of the inning to take a 7-1 lead.

It was all Seneca from there as they would go on to defeat the Bears 14-4 in five innings. The win improves the Bobcats to 8-1 (2-0) on the season while the Bears fall to 5-4 (1-1).

The Lady Bears will return to action on Thursday afternoon as they host the Eisenhower Lady Knights in another region game.
