A special youth hunt will take place ahead of the regular season on Saturday, April 25, and is open to licensed junior hunters and properly permitted mentored youth. The regular season will run through May 30, with no Sunday hunting permitted during the spring gobbler season.

Hunters are limited to harvesting bearded turkeys only, with a maximum of two birds per season—one per day—provided they have the proper licenses. Hunting hours vary throughout the season, with different time restrictions in place during early and late portions.

State officials remind hunters that all harvested birds must be reported within 10 days, either online, by phone, or by mail.
