The Erie County Public Library is celebrating National Library Week 2026 with a special proclamation and children’s storytime event.
The event takes place Wednesday, April 22 at 10:00 a.m. at the Raymond M. Blasco, M.D. Memorial Library.
Observed April 19 through the 25th, National Library Week is sponsored by the American Library Association and carries the theme “Find Your Joy,” highlighting the role libraries play in sparking curiosity, supporting lifelong learning, and bringing communities together.
During the event, an official proclamation from the Erie County Executive will be presented, followed by a children’s storytime focused on promoting literacy and a love of reading.
Community leaders and local children are expected to attend. The event is open to the public.
