Union City Borough’s City Building is currently undergoing a series of interior renovations aimed at improving accessibility and functionality. The project includes upgrades to the lobby, construction of an elevator shaft, and reconfiguration of the police department’s conference room and three offices, along with the addition of a new administrative office.
The work is being completed by Construction Services Inc. of Pennsylvania, a Union City-based contractor. The $383,000 project is funded through a combination of sources, including the United States Department of Agriculture Community Project program, the Erie Community Foundation, the Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority, and Union City Borough.
Congressman Mike Kelly visited the site on April 10 to review progress on the renovations.
