A corrections officer at SCI Cambridge Springs is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges following an investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police into alleged sexual assaults involving an inmate.
According to state police, the investigation began October 8, 2025, after a complaint was filed under the Prison Rape Elimination Act at the facility on Fullerton Avenue in Cambridge Springs Borough. Investigators allege the 49-year-old Crawford County man assaulted a 35-year-old inmate from Dauphin County on three separate occasions in July 2025. The accused has been charged with multiple counts, including institutional sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, and indecent assault. He was arraigned March 31 before Magisterial District Judge Lincoln Zilhaver, who set bail at $25,000 unsecured.
All charges are allegations. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
