Zonta Club Honors Lori Palisin with Yellow Rose Award

The Zonta Club of the Corry Area has recognized Lori Palisin, executive director of Safe Journey, as this year’s recipient of the Yellow Rose Award, honoring women who serve as outstanding role models in their communities.

Palisin was selected for her leadership and commitment to addressing domestic violence through education and outreach. She launched the PurpleOne program, which trains participants to recognize and respond to domestic violence while connecting victims with available resources. Under her direction, Safe Journey also developed Orange Circle, a program focused on teen dating and family violence awareness that equips school personnel and community members to better support youth. Palisin was also named the recipient of the 2025 Behrend Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award from Penn State Behrend, recognizing her professional accomplishments and community impact.
