Union City High School has announced its 2026 Winter Sports Queen and King following recent winter athletic events. Mara Webster was crowned the 2026 Winter Sports Queen on January 20, 2026, during the boys basketball game. Webster, the daughter of Chip and Tammy Webster, was crowned by 2025 Winter Sports Queen Lily Higby and escorted by Carter DiSimone.
The Winter Sports King ceremony took place later in the week. Logan Ahl was crowned Union City’s 2026 Winter Sports King prior to the swim meet held at Union City Area Elementary School. Ahl is the son of Kristen and Nathan Ahl.
All winter court candidates were recognized as part of the selection process. Queen candidates included Ava Tomcho, Makayla Hedderick, Cheyenne Cummings, Shaelynn Kent, Kayla Mangel, and Mara Webster. King candidates included Van Ward, Brady Whitmeyer, George Trauner II, Hunter Noel, Logan Ahl, and Joseph Wolf.
