Union City Police report two separate warrant-related arrests earlier this month, both resulting from tips provided to law enforcement.
On December 9 at approximately 12:15 p.m., police received information that Austin Soto, 30, had boarded an EMTA bus at the Union City Estates. Soto was wanted on an active felony warrant out of PSP Corry for burglary. Officers followed the bus and conducted a traffic stop after it left the area. Soto was located seated in the back of the bus and taken into custody without incident. He was later turned over to Pennsylvania State Police.
The following day, December 10, at around 2:38 p.m., Union City Police responded to an apartment at 61 Parade Street to serve an Erie County Sheriff’s non-support warrant on 25-year-old Union City resident Ethan Temple. Police had received a tip that Temple was at the location. He was taken into custody without incident and later transferred to the custody of the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.
Union City Police thanked members of the public for providing information in both cases and emphasized the importance of strong community cooperation in assisting law enforcement efforts.
