Altered Inspection Sticker Leads to Charges in Union City

A Union City woman is facing charges after police discovered an altered inspection sticker on her vehicle during an investigation into a suspicious car.

On September 10, officers were dispatched to Marrell Street following a report of a suspicious car parked in a driveway. Upon investigation, the vehicle was identified as a 2008 Kia owned by Jessica Rooney of Union City. Rooney later returned to the scene to retrieve the vehicle.

Officers noted an altered inspection sticker on the car, leading to charges against Rooney for possession of an altered inspection sticker and trespass by motor vehicle.
