The Union City Lady Bears softball team was back in action on Thursday afternoon, taking on the Girard Yellowjackets in a region game. Going into the fourth up by seven, the Lady Bears would break the game open scoring twelve runs, including a home run by Cathryn Reynolds, her first on the season. The Lady Bears would give up only one hit in the game, coming in the first inning, as they would go on to defeat the Yellowjackets 19-0, improving to 7-4 (5-3) on the season. The Lady Bears will be back in action Friday night under the lights, as they celebrate Senior Night, taking on the North East Grape Pickers at the Union City Little League Complex.
