The Union City Bears were back under the lights for Friday Night Football taking on the Northwestern Wildcats hoping to regroup after a tough loss to Saegertown on Homecoming last week. The Bears knew it would be a tough matchup as the Wildcats are bigger and stronger and on the first play from scrimmage the Wildcats would run untouched for the touchdown going up 7-0. Later in the game Clay Thomas would run for a touchdown to get the Bears on the scoreboard making the score 42-6. Jesse Kightlinger and Austin Brown would also run for touchdowns in the game but the Bears would fall to Northwestern 56-18 falling to 2-4 (1-2) on the season as the Wildcats improve to 4-2 (2-1). The Bears will be off next week and will be back in action on Friday, October 14th as they travel to Seneca High School to take on the Seneca Bobcats.
