Bears Raided by Reynolds

The Union City Bears kicked off their Varsity Football season Friday night under the lights at Reynolds High School to take on the Reynolds Raiders who are ranked number six in the state. The Raiders received the ball first and started off with some trickery as they called a flea flicker which went for a 60 yard touchdown on the first play of the game. The Raiders would score touchdowns on their first three plays of the game leaving the Bears trailing by three scores early. Late in the game Skyler Olmstead ran 16 yards for a touchdown with 7:39 left to get the Bears on the board for their first points of the season but the Bears would fall to Reynolds 58-6. The Bears next game will be Friday, September 2nd as the Bears will host Kennedy Catholic in their home opener.
