CORRY — A 34-year-old Corry man faces charges after police say he knocked another man off a bicycle and nearly caused him to be struck by passing traffic.
According to the Corry Police Department, officers were flagged down by a witness on Oct. 18 who reported seeing Kyle Sullivan knock a man off a bicycle, causing him to fall into the roadway. Police said the witness reported that the man nearly was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
Officers spoke with the man who fell and reviewed video footage of the incident. Sullivan was charged with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment involving physical contact, according to court records.
Sullivan was arrested on an active warrant later that day at the intersection of Concord and East Pleasant streets and transported to Erie County Prison. Court records show bail was set at $2,500, which was posted on Oct. 21.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 2 at 10 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Denise Marie Buell.
Sullivan is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
