CLYMER, N.Y. — A 30-year-old Clymer man faces charges of second-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child following a police investigation.

James S. Miller was arrested Thursday on a warrant issued by Busti Town Court. Lakewood-Busti police allege Miller had sexual contact with a girl under age 15 during the summer of 2023.

Miller was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment and held on bail.

A conviction for second-degree rape in New York can carry a prison sentence of two to seven years, along with probation, fines and mandatory sex offender registration.
