CORRY — The Corry Area School Board approved the selection of an architectural firm to conduct a district-wide feasibility study and made several personnel changes during its regular meeting Sept. 21.
The board selected HRLC Architects, LLC to conduct the feasibility study. The scope of the study was not detailed in the summary of action.
The board also approved financial transactions totaling $1,892,052.84 covering Aug. 20 through Sept. 16 and accepted the August business manager’s report. Other business included approval of equipment and textbooks for disposal or sale and the appointment of Jennifer Cullers as assistant board secretary.
Three high school transition field trips were approved for October. Nine 12th-grade students will visit Jamestown Community College in Jamestown, New York, under the supervision of Mark Chludzinski.
A second trip, involving eight 11th- and 12th-grade students, will visit the Hiram G. Andrews Center and Commonwealth Technical Institute in Johnstown under the supervision of Mark Chludzinski and Rebecca Nosel.
The third trip will take 25 11th- and 12th-grade students to the Heavy Equipment Union in New Alexandria. Mark Chludzinski, Eric McCray and Brock Jaquith will supervise the trip.
In personnel matters, the board accepted the resignation of Middle School Secretary Lindsey Brown, effective Sept. 28, and the resignation of Stacie Smith as middle school student council advisor for the 2026-27 school year.
The board approved Alanna Dean as a long-term substitute autistic support paraprofessional and Cael Black as an assistant wrestling coach for the 2026-27 school year.
The board also recognized six educators who have completed three years of service with the district and achieved tenure. They are Danae Agnew, Corey Gibson, Alexandria McLaughlin, Jennilee Ostrander, Kurtis Tucci and Kaylyn Whiteley.
Two volunteers were approved for the 2026-27 school year: Staci Fedyshin for athletic training and Larry Harrington for wrestling.
