UNION CITY — The Union City Fire Department will host its 10th annual Fall Bluegrass Fest Saturday, Sept. 26, featuring a full day of live music, food, vendors, contests and other activities.
The festival begins at 11 a.m. at the Union City Fire Department, 50 Second Avenue. Admission is free, and attendees may bring their own chairs.
The music lineup includes nine acts throughout the day:
- Noon — Country Blue
- 1 p.m. — Sweet Clover
- 2 p.m. — Generic Newgrass
- 3 p.m. — Tug Creek
- 4 p.m. — Hidden Drive
- 5 p.m. — Empty Pockets
- 6 p.m. — Howard Francis & the Edinboro Outlaws
- 7 p.m. — Herner County Line
- 8 p.m. — Earth Angel
The festival will also feature an open kitchen, vendors, a Chinese auction, 50/50 drawing, contests, Smokey the Bear, special raffle items and displays of fire equipment.
Several of the bands are returning performers from the festival’s first year, including Country Blue, Generic Newgrass, Earth Angel and others.
