Corry fall hydrant flushing underway, brush and leaf pickup dates announced

CORRY — The City of Corry Water Department will begin its annual fall hydrant flushing Monday, Sept. 21, with flushing scheduled throughout the city through Friday, Sept. 25.

Hydrant flushing will begin around 10 a.m. each day according to the following schedule:

• Ward 1 — Monday, Sept. 21
• Ward 2 — Tuesday, Sept. 22
• Ward 3 — Wednesday, Sept. 23
• Ward 4 — Thursday, Sept. 24
• Columbus/Wayne — Friday, Sept. 25

The city also has scheduled its fall brush and yard waste pickup for Sept. 28 through Oct. 9. Residents should place brush with the cut ends pointing toward the curb.

Fall leaf pickup will begin Oct. 12 and continue until the work is completed or the first snowfall.

The city says stones, pet waste and general trash will not be collected with the leaf pickup.
