CRAWFORD COUNTY — Pennsylvania State Police will conduct sobriety checkpoints in Crawford County sometime during September or October as part of an effort to deter impaired driving.

According to a public information release from the Pennsylvania State Police Meadville station, the checkpoints will target drivers suspected of operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Police are reminding motorists that both illegal and prescription drugs can affect a person’s ability to operate a vehicle safely.
State police are also advising people who plan to consume alcohol to designate a sober driver.
The release did not provide specific dates or locations for the planned checkpoints.
