HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs’ Keystone State ChalleNGe Academy is accepting applications for its first class of 2027, which begins in January.
The program provides 16- to 18-year-old students who are at risk of not graduating on time or dropping out of school with an opportunity to develop academic and life skills, including leadership, self-discipline, physical fitness, health and hygiene, and public service. There is no tuition cost, and meals, housing, uniforms and school supplies are provided at no charge.
Applicants can use the academy’s online eligibility checker at pa.gov/ksca before completing an application. Mailed applications can be requested by emailing RA-MVPACHALLENGE@pa.gov or calling 717-861-7767 or 717-861-8831.
