CORRY — A Spartansburg man was taken into custody earlier this month after Corry police discovered he was wanted on an active arrest warrant during a traffic stop.

According to the Corry Police Department, officers stopped a vehicle at the intersection of East Irving and Wayne streets at about 7:41 p.m. on July 12 and made contact with 45-year-old Casie Oswalt of Spartansburg.

Police said a records check revealed Oswalt had an active warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Corry Police Department to await transfer to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office for transport to jail.
