Union City Alumni Association accepting parade entries

The Union City Alumni Association has announced its 65th annual Homecoming Parade, which
is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, rain or shine. Community organizations, businesses, schools,
alumni groups, bands, clubs, churches and individuals are invited to participate in what the
Alumni Association is calling one of Union City’s most anticipated annual traditions.
The parade will celebrate this year’s theme, America the Beautiful, honoring the nation’s history,
communities and spirit through creative and patriotic displays.
Professional judges from the Pennsylvania Federation of Contest Judges will evaluate entries.
Only parade entries that incorporate and adhere to the official theme of America the Beautiful
will be eligible for prize money and judging awards.
