The Union City Bears baseball team was back in action on Tuesday afternoon as they traveled to UMPC Park the home of the Erie Seawolves to take on the Iroquois Braves in another region game.
After an early pitchers duel with two scoreless innings, the Bears came alive in the top of the third to take a 3-0 lead.
The Bears would add another run in the top of the sixth and would go on to defeat the Braves 4-0.
Starting pitcher Cooper Fox would pitch a perfect game, striking out thirteen of the fifteen batters he faced.
The win improves the Bears to 8-4 (4-2) on the season while the Braves fall to 6-4 (4-2).
The Bears will return to action on Wednesday afternoon as they travel to Cranberry for a non-region game.
