Bears Throw Combined No-Hitter, Blake Turner Hits Grand Slam in Win Over Bobcats

The Union City Bears baseball team was back in action on Monday afternoon as they played host to the Seneca Bobcats in another region game.

It was all Union City from the start as they would strike early in the first inning for three runs and would never look back as they would take down the Bobcats 15-0.

Starting pitcher Luke Racop had a terrific game on the mound for the Bears, striking out all nine batters he faced. Luke Wright would finish the game off as the Bears would throw a combined no-hitter.

Blake Turner would make his mark on the game as he would hit one over the fence for a grand slam.

The win improves the Bears to 7-4 (3-2) on the season while the Bobcats fall to 0-12 (0-6).

The Bears will return to action on Tuesday afternoon as they take on the Iroquois Braves at UMPC Park in another region game.
