Bears Take Down Knights

The Union City Bears baseball team was back on the field on Monday afternoon as they traveled to Eisenhower to take on the Knights in another region game.

After a scoreless first inning, the Knights would strike first in the bottom of the second to take a 1-0 lead.

The Bears would score their first run to tie the game in the top of the third before adding four more in the fourth to take a 5-1 lead.

The Bears would break the game open in the fifth, scoring eight runs to take a 13-1 lead.

The Knights would then score three runs in the bottom of the fifth, it wasn’t enough however, as the Bears would go on to defeat the Knights 13-4. The win improves the Bears to 6-4 (2-2) on the season, while the Knights fall to 1-11 (1-3).

The Bears will return to action on Friday afternoon as they host Reynolds in a non-region game.
