A Sugar Grove man is facing charges following an alleged assault involving a weapon early April 15 in Warren County.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police Warren Patrol Unit, troopers responded to an incident around 3:25 a.m. at a residence on Valley Park Drive in Sugar Grove Township.
Police say the incident involved a verbal argument between a 28-year-old woman and 52-year-old Willard Fehlman. During the dispute, investigators allege Fehlman pushed the victim against a wall. The victim reportedly produced a knife out of fear, at which point police say Fehlman pulled a larger knife and held it to her throat, causing a minor cut to her chin.
Troopers took Fehlman into custody, and charges were filed through the local district court.
Authorities note that all charges are allegations, and the accused is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
