A dog attack in Sparta Township is under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police, with charges expected to be filed.
According to authorities, the incident occurred around 7:06 p.m. on March 27 along East Road in Sparta Township, Crawford County. Troopers from the Corry patrol unit responded to a report of a dog law violation.
Investigators say three dogs from a neighboring property attacked another dog belonging to a 26-year-old woman from Spartansburg. The victim’s dog suffered severe injuries as a result of the attack.
A 40-year-old man from Erie has been identified in connection with the incident. Charges are expected to be filed through Magisterial District Judge Leach.
Police did not release the name of the accused.
