Authorities in Chautauqua County say two people were taken into custody following a search warrant served at a home near Panama, New York.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, investigators executed the warrant at a residence on Wiltise Road around 2 p.m. on February 27 as part of an investigation into stolen property. The location is in the town of Clymer just outside of Panama.
Members of the Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team made entry into the home while detectives conducted the search. Inside the residence, officers located James Murray and Emily Walker. Both were taken into custody without incident.
During the search, investigators reportedly recovered several items believed to be stolen. Among the items found was a Polaris all-terrain vehicle that authorities say Murray and Walker were in possession of.
Both individuals have been charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
Murray and Walker were arraigned through the Centralized Arraignment Part court system and later released. They are scheduled to appear in local court at a later date.
