A Corry man was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle while crossing East Main Street Thursday morning.
According to the Corry Police Department, the incident occurred around 7:45 a.m. on March 5 near the intersection of East Main Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
Police say 39-year-old Ryan Kane of Corry was crossing East Main Street in the marked crosswalk while heading north when he was struck by a vehicle driven by 75-year-old Judith Jaworski of Corry. Investigators say Jaworski had stopped at the stop sign on Pennsylvania Avenue and was turning onto East Main Street when the collision occurred.
Emergency medical personnel evaluated Kane at the scene before transporting him to Corry Memorial Hospital for additional treatment and evaluation.
Police report that Jaworski has been cited for failing to yield the right-of-way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. She is scheduled to answer the citation at a later date before District Judge Christopher Buell.
