The Erie Otters closed out a four-games-in-six-days stretch Monday night with a 5–1 loss to the Guelph Storm at the Sleeman Centre.
Erie struck first on a goal by Ulysses Lombardi, but Guelph responded with four unanswered goals in the second period to seize control. Leo Serlin tied the game before Carter Stevens delivered the eventual game-winner. Jaakko Wycisk added two goals in the frame as the Storm outshot Erie 20–6 in the period.
Simon Belohorsky capped the scoring in the third as Guelph pulled away. Charlie Burns made several key saves for Erie, finishing with 40 stops as the Storm outshot the Otters 45–22.
Erie returns home Friday night to host the Oshawa Generals.
