The Pennsylvania House of Representatives Archives Internship Program is accepting applications for the summer 2026 semester.
The 13-week internship is based at the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg. Interns work alongside archivists and gain hands-on experience in several areas, including processing paper collections, developing exhibits for display in the Capitol Complex and conducting research to respond to inquiries.
Participants also gain insight into the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and its members through opportunities such as meeting public officials and staff and touring historic public spaces throughout the Commonwealth.
To be eligible, applicants must, at the time of the internship, attend a college or university in Pennsylvania or be a Pennsylvania resident. Students must be second-semester juniors, seniors or graduate students and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Applications are due by Sunday, March 1. More information and the application are available at https://archives.house.state.pa.us/.
