Area wrestlers secured advancement during their respective District 10 postseason tournaments held this past weekend under the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association banner.
Boys Section Results
At the District 10 Class 2A section tournaments, the top seven finishers in each weight class qualified for the District 10 Championship Tournament.
Advancing from the area:
Corry:
Carson Braswell, Landon VanTassel, Landon Walizer, Steven Willis, Owen Anderson, Cooper Hodak, Lamech Albers, Landon Nickerson, Owen Nickerson, Marcus Meredith and Brody Nickerson.
Fort LeBoeuf:
Dan Duran, Easton Glass, Alden Struchen, Carson Stoltz, Carter Friday, Denny Church, Brady Bowers, Luke Bowers and Trevin McNamara.
Titusville:
Sawyer Wolfkiel, Coleman Huck, Andrew Donaldson, Brock Middleton, Isaac Roberts, Logan Riddle, Bryce Watkins, Parker Miller.
Union City:
Van Ward, David Dominguez-Ashton, Josh Mitcham and Kane Gregor.
Maplewood:
Chase MacQuarrie and Jeremiah Wickstrom.
Section champions from the area included Dan Duran (215) and Easton Glass (172) of Fort LeBoeuf, and Van Ward (107) of Union City.
The District 10 Class 2A Championships begin Friday at Sharon Senior High School in Sharon.
Girls District 10 Results
At the District 10 Girls Tournament this past weekend, the top four finishers in each weight class advance to the regional tournament.
Advancing from the area:
Corry:
Finley Fourspring, Koda Kuzma, Lillian Brooks, Ryleigh Shaffer and Makenna Williams.
Fort LeBoeuf:
Zahra Al-Zamly, Ella McGuire, Lilly Paris, Gia Sumner, Hayden Ramey, Lexi Przybycien, Maya Banta and Sadie Huck.
District champions included Finley Fourspring (106) and Koda Kuzma (142) of Corry, and Zahra Al-Zamly (235) of Fort LeBoeuf.
The Northwest Regional Tournament begins February 27 at Sharon Senior High School.
